Changing your Gmail password regularly can keep your account safe and secure. Luckily, Google makes it very easy to do so. You'll just need to log into your account's settings with the current password to update it to a new one. If you forgot your password, you can choose to reset it instead. This wikiHow will show you how to change or reset your Gmail account password using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

1. Select your profile photo in Gmail.
2. Select "Manage your Google account."
3. Select "Personal info" → "Password".
4. Enter your current password, then enter a new one.

Using iPhone or iPad

• If you don't know your password, reset your password instead.
• Changing your Gmail password also changes your password in all other Google services, such as Google Drive and Google Photos.

Tap your profile photo. You can find this in the top-right corner of the screen. If you don't have a profile photo, it'll be your initial instead.

Tap Password . This will be underneath the Other info and preferences for Google services header. You may need to scroll to find this.

Enter your current password and tap Next . Once your current password is validated, you can create a new one.

Enter your new password twice. Type your new password into the "New password" text box, then re-enter it in the "Confirm new password" text box.

No, you shouldn't have to pay anything just to change or retrieve your gmail password. If you are being charged, you might be on a scam website. Check the URL and make sure that you really are on gmail.

Click on "Forgot Password" and it will prompt you to enter your telephone number. They will text you a code to enter on the website which will allow you to change your password.

If your browser is storing your old password and not saving your new one, open your browser's password manager and delete any entries for Gmail or Google. You should then be prompted to save your new password the next time you log in.
